This policy explains how Beact Infotech ("Beact", "we", "us"), a partnership firm based in Surat, Gujarat, India, collects and uses personal data through beactinfotech.com and our SellSutra platform. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it.

1. Who this policy covers

Website visitors and enquirers: people who browse beactinfotech.com or submit our contact, quote, job application or newsletter forms.
SellSutra customers: sellers who sign up for SellSutra, and the users they invite.
End customers of our sellers: buyers whose order details reach SellSutra through a seller's marketplace data. For this data the seller is the Data Fiduciary and Beact acts as their Data Processor; see our Data Processing Agreement.

2. What we collect

Contact details you give us: name, email, phone number, company and message.
Job applications: your resume and the details in it.
SellSutra account data: business name, GSTIN, users and their roles, and settings.
Marketplace data a seller connects or uploads: orders, returns, inventory, payments and the buyer name, address and phone number included in orders.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service running.

3. Why we use it

To reply to enquiries and quotes, and to process job applications.
To provide SellSutra: showing orders, returns, inventory, payments and reports to the seller who owns the data.
To keep our services secure, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
To send product updates or newsletters you asked for; you can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use sellers' customer data for our own marketing.

4. Consent and your choices

We process personal data on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses allowed under the DPDP Act. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; this does not affect processing already done.

5. Sharing

Service providers who help us run our services, such as cloud hosting, email delivery and payment processing, under contracts that require them to protect the data.
Marketplaces, only when a seller instructs SellSutra to connect to their account.
Authorities, when required by law.

6. Where data is stored and for how long

SellSutra data is stored in India. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and keep processing logs for at least one year as required by law. When a seller closes their SellSutra account, we delete or return their data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

7. Security

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encryption, access control and logging. Read more on our Security page. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

8. Your rights

Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it.
Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or are unable to.
Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

We respond to requests within 90 days, and usually much sooner.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.
